Welcome to crawleyincrisis.com
This site was established in February 2007 to catalogue the continuing problems suffered by Crawley Town Football Club under the ownership of owner Azwar Majeed and his brother Shafqat (Chas), to encourage support for Crawley’s fans from their fellow supporters across the globe and to attract the attention of anyone with the means to help build a brighter future for the club.
In July 2005, the Majeeds took over at Crawley, an English Nationwide Football Conference side which had then just completed the most successful season in their history.
Their regime has been blighted by revelations of financial incompetence, PR disasters and allegations of unethical practices and aggressive behaviour by the owners.
As a result the club has been on the brink of liquidation for a year and is under threat of closure by tax authorities and at risk of severe penalties from the Football Association for continued rule breaches.
Please have a look around the site to learn the full story and see what has been reported about the club in recent months. You’ll find all the details, press cuttings, video and audio files you need to make up your own mind on the situation.
If you, or anyone you know, would like to find out more about how you can help save the club from a fate it does not deserve, please contact info@crawleyincrisis.com and we’ll make sure the right people are made aware of your interest.
Thank you for visiting.
Come on you Reds.
